What can you do?
Read active help requests: the public feed is available without an account.
Donate without signing up: a donor can choose a request and amount and continue through the direct-donation flow without creating a username or password.
Post a help request without signing up: a person who needs help can publish a basic request without email or an account. A mobile number is used internally to identify the request and is not displayed in the public post. It is revealed only to a donor who actually enters the Bit payment flow so the transfer can be completed.
Create an account only when you want more tools: accounts remain optional for chat, video, history, profile and full management.
Why DirectAid exists
Sometimes the need is immediate and easy to understand: food, rent, a small debt, a medical need, something for a child or another everyday expense. A person may want to ask for help without completing a long registration process first, and a donor may want to understand the request before sharing personal details.
That is why DirectAid starts with action before account creation. Public requests can be read by anyone, basic donations do not require sign-up, and a basic help request can be posted without an account.
What DirectAid is not
- It is not a charity and does not raise funds on behalf of organizations.
- It is currently designed for private-person-to-private-person help.
- It does not hold the donation funds themselves.
- It does not guarantee that a user statement is absolutely true; chat, video and reporting tools can support responsible verification.
- It does not issue a donation receipt or tax credit.
Privacy before documents
The platform is designed around data minimization. You do not need to publish IDs, bank pages, salary slips or medical documents to explain a request. The goal is to describe the need clearly without exposing unnecessary sensitive information.
Holocaust survivors
A requester can mark that they are a Holocaust survivor. The marker is shown prominently on the request and is clearly described as self-declared rather than government verification.
How the platform is funded
Opening an account and basic use are free. Recipient donations go directly according to the recipient’s payment details; DirectAid does not hold them. There is no mandatory DirectAid platform fee. Anyone who wants and can may separately support platform operations, and choosing not to support does not affect the donation.
